The body of the G9 series is constructed from high-grade aluminum, offering enhanced durability and meeting military-grade endurance standards. Notably, since 2022, HP has standardized this aluminum chassis across all EliteBook and ZBook models.

This means that EliteBook 840 G9 and its variants (860 G9, 830 G9), which are powered by 12th Gen Intel processors, utilize the same chassis. Similarly, the ZBook Firefly G9 workstation features an identical aluminum structure, with its only distinction being a honey-colored finish, as it belongs to HP’s workstation lineup.
